Are you ready for the transition to Digital ID Cards?

By January 2025 Cigna is planning to fully transition from physical ID cards to digital ID cards.* Many of our customers already access their ID cards through myCigna.com® and the myCigna® app. Both the website and app offer convenient, timely access to the ID card, as well as many other features to help customers manage their health. To help support you with this transition we have created a FAQ document and an employee reference guide on how to get started. You can view these easy-to-use communication materials by clicking on the below assets. We encourage you to use this e-card that we've developed to help you communicate the transition to your employees. Click the link below to download it. You will need to save it first to your computer and then upon opening you will be able send it directly from your inbox.

*The transition to digital ID cards does not apply to the following: all insured medical clients sitused in Texas, New York, Florida and Colorado (ASO will be included); all medical clients sitused in Minnesota regardless of funding type; all D-HMO plans sitused in Texas; all D-HMO and D-PPO plans sitused in Georgia and Minnesota; all vision plans sitused in Georgia, Minnesota, and Texas.

Product availability may vary by location and plan type and is subject to change. All group health insurance policies and health benefit plans contain exclusions and limitations. For costs and details of coverage, contact a Cigna representative. All Cigna products and services are provided exclusively by or through operating subsidiaries of Cigna Corporation, including Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company (CHLIC) or its affiliates.
